AMP GOALS: this is what we feel the lord has told us to focus on in this school year! we seek to challenge and disciple students and leaders in these areas. everything we do at amp will work to grow all of us in these areas! please partner with us in praying that these things would be seen in our group!

LEARNING: We just finished up our 'made to belong' series. we spent several weeks learning how when fitting in feels hard or being “enough” feels impossible, God offers us something better — a kind of belonging that’s secure, unearned, and unshakable. This series invited students to stop striving for acceptance and start living from it. we want to understand our God-created need for belonging and discover our role in God’s story.
blackhawk chapel: this is an amazing opportunity that we have to share the word of god every week in cheney high school! chapel is student led while church staff helps organize and disciple student leaders. we seek to provide a place where students who have no faith background or wouldn't normally come to church can hear the truth of god in an approachable way. At the same time we have seen huge growth in our student leaders who share weekly! Currently about 50 students attend over both lunches every wednesday! ALl are welcome!

High school retreat is coming up soon! The purpose of AMP High School retreat 2025 is to withdraw from the busyness of life and create intentional moments to bring our focus back to Christ, as we know, grow and go with him.details & registration can be found here! or visit cheneyfaithcenter.org
we are blessed to see more students than ever! AMP serves 100+ students each week! We are always in need of volunteers to disciple students or prepare a meal. A warm meal is a huge blessing to so many in our community! We are also in need of more volunteers to help lead students every Thursday! If you are interested in more details email amp@cheneyfaithcenter.org or stop by our next steps table on a Sunday morning. Leaders are a huge part of AMP! They are the ones who are able to get to know each student in their group and help them as an individual grow in their faith

Rules and Discipline: We have seen an overwhelmingly positive response to our increased expectations over the past year! We talk with students thoroughly about our rules, expectations and discipline. Our rules can be summed up to respect. We require respect for other students, leaders and our facility. If this is not met repeatedly throughout a night we have a discipline ladder that our leadership follows. If a student must be redirected more than 3 times in a night, must be moved from their seat or must be removed from their small group, the result is a call home. We strive to communicate often with parents in order to work with them to support their student and keep them involved at AMP. If behavior issues continue the student will be asked to take a 2 weak break from AMP. If behavior continues further the student will be asked to take a break until there is a meeting between AMP leadership, our head pastor, the student and their parents. Our goal in this is to make AMP a safe, welcoming and loving place for all that is focused on learning about our faith and having fun!
As always, we love being able to spend time with and disciple your students! If you ever have any questions please reach out to our leadership team at amp@cheneyfaithcenter.org or just find us on a Sunday morning!
