Galatians 5:22-23 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
Currently we are in series about the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT! Our goal is to learn what the bible says about these traits, how that differs from our worldly understanding, what the Holy Spirit is, and how we grow these fruits in our life as disciples!
Volunteers needed! AMP serves 75-100 students each week! We are in need of more volunteers to help lead students every Thursday! We are especially in need of male leaders to help guide the middle school boys in our community! If you are interested in more details email amp@cheneyfaithcenter.org or stop by our next steps table on a Sunday morning. Leaders are a huge part of AMP! They are the ones who are able to get to know each student in their group and help them as an individual grow in their faith
Chapel keeps growing! We now have about 45 students who attend weekly,
including those who don’t attend church as well as students from other youth
groups and churches! There is no shortage of students willing to lead the weekly
devotionals! And it’s been amazing to see them grow as ministry leaders and step
outside of their comfort zone to share with their peers! If you know any
CHS students tell them to join us every wednesday!
We have multiple small groups meeting throughout the week and are hoping to add more! If you would like more information please contact amp@cheneyfaithcenter.org or check out our website!
Rules and Discipline: We have seen an overwhelmingly positive response to our increased expectations over the past year! We talk with students thoroughly about our rules, expectations and discipline. Our rules can be summed up to respect. We require respect for other students, leaders and our facility. If this is not met repeatedly throughout a night we have a discipline ladder that our leadership follows. If a student must be redirected more than 3 times in a night, must be moved from their seat or must be removed from their small group, the result is a call home. We strive to communicate often with parents in order to work with them to support their student and keep them involved at AMP. If behavior issues continue the student will be asked to take a 2 weak break from AMP. If behavior continues further the student will be asked to take a break until there is a meeting between AMP leadership, our head pastor, the student and their parents. Our goal in this is to make AMP a safe, welcoming and loving place for all that is focused on learning about our faith and having fun!
As always, we love being able to spend time with and disciple your students! If you ever have any questions please reach out to our leadership team at amp@cheneyfaithcenter.org or just find us on a Sunday morning!
